A typical small brewery generates between 500 to 1,000 pounds of spent grain in the process of brewing enough beer to fill 20 kegs.

As a team, Meredith Miele and I set out to improve visual consistency through beer labels, create a cohesive brand voice, foster loyalty to locals and build community by repurposing spent grains and connecting to local farms. We began by redesigning some labels for their year-round beers.

"We give our spent grains to a local cow farmer"
- Eric, Blewett Brewing Owner

Blewett Brewing donates its spent grains to a local cattle farmer who uses them to supplement his cows, animals deserve a cold snack too after all.

Limited Edition Beers

Oktoberfest is one of the busiest weeks of the year in Leavenworth, Washington. We developed a unique limited edition series of beers to be sold at the brewery during the month of October inspired by German fairytales with a darker twist.

Hoppy red ale with bitter maltiness and carmel notes.

Light bodied ale with a sweet maltiness.

Unfiltered pilsner with bready and malty notes and a slight spiciness.

dark stout with fruity and bitter undertones.

With Leavenworth's ever increasing popularity, it has become more expensive and difficult for locals to live in their hometown. We wanted to support this demographic by creating a system in which they can spend less on food. By purchasing and using this reusable beer carrier it not only reduces plastic waste but allows points to build towards discounted meals for Leavenworth locals at Blewett Brewing.
